London Movement Classes

The 3 options above In a nutshell. You either want to:-

  • Drop-in whenever,

  • Practice frequently for a defined amount of time (Class SERiES)

  • Practice consistently with dedicated classes, full support and ongoing development (Small Group Training | Movement Practice Membership).

All options are suitable for any level of experience and I really mean that. I’m truly fortunate to have such a diverse awesome bunch of people that come to my classes, with a mixture of age and experience and coming from all walks of life!

For me, the Small Group Training | Movement Practice Membership is the most honest and complete sharing of my years of practice I can offer and where I invest most of my time and deeper topics. But it isn’t for everyone as it requires your time. It gives access to EVERYTHING, members-only classes, a dedicated Whatsapp group, all drop-in classes, SERiES of classes, 1-day workshops, and anything that’s happening online! You can have ‘try-out’ sessions of course.

Small Group Training - Movement Practice Membership

What do you get in a nutshell? Access to membership-only classes and all drop-in classes whether in person or online, SERiES of classes and workshops. A dedicated WhatsApp group. Free access to the Move with the Seasons Online Community. Plus, online support and 1:1s.

The Movement Practice Membership is my best effort to facilitate a consistent group practice based on my Move With The Seasons practice and everything I have collected, curated and crafted over the last 14 years. We explore movement training as a vehicle for communication, connection and creativity, with the sharing of collective knowledge, experiences and support from one another being a priority. We engage through dedicated weekly classes, group projects and continued online education and discussion. It draws upon my coaching experience and the inspiration and wisdom of the changing seasons to explore the relationships of body, people and place and how they sculpt one another. MWTS is primarily an outlook on observing, coordinating and adapting (moving) with change. Moving with the rhythm of the changing seasons of our inner and outer landscapes. Viewing the moving body in a changing environment through the lenses of movement practice, seasons of change and story.

About The Group Practice

I share my ideas through guided individual movement practice, creative games and tasks to spark the imagination and fuel the muse for reflection. Shifting attention between working with your own body, with partners/within a group and interacting and moving through the surrounding environment.

Body - People - Place. Moving in, about and with the Seasons

We Work. We play. We train outside in ALL seasons but train inside too (and more in the winter).

What do we do? It depends.

On the group…our collective state, the season, the cycle we're going through, what resonates with our practice at the time, what motives and processes we want to observe. We have many teachers whose knowledge permeates and influences our practice. We do have a general approach to our practice. We do human stuff. We try to remember to ‘do the thing’ as our guide, observe what takes us away from those things and what we may do to get back to them.

Where do you invest your resources when time and energy is limited? How do you navigate the terrain with so many confusing maps? The answers are for you the individual to explore, but I will say that perhaps investing in your relationships and companions to travel with you can make things less bewildering and provide the support you need to restock when you’re depleted.⠀

We run. We jump. We climb. We dance. We fight. We lift. We throw. We play. We create.⠀
We communicate.

The weekly group classes are to facilitate a consistent group practice, exploring movement training, communication and the sharing of collective knowledge and experience. With continued online education, material and discussion for those that want to continue the practice away from the classes.

What do you get

  • Unlimited access to all the classes, SERIES of classes and workshops (including members-only exclusive classes) whether in person or online. Different topics & cycles, plus a discount on in-person 1-1 sessions

  • Free 1:1 video sessions each week. To get feedback, talk and plan your practice

  • Ongoing support and group communication via a private group in the Move With The Seasons Online Community (all the features of social media groups and forums, such as messaging, articles, posting video content, polls and challenges… even organising via hashtags but without the distraction and chaos of social media feeds) programmes/plans and a private group where I post and chat etc.

    • All questions about your practice can be answered by me or experienced members of the group

    • An ongoing library of resources - I upload exclusive video content often, reference articles and material from my sources/movement teachers often - all organised and searchable.

    • I set homework, fun group challenges and have past moving programmes and training schedules you can use and reference.

    • We stay connected and organise our social meetings (and meetups when ‘things’ allow), from coffee and catchups to capture-the-flag events and Birthday parties.

  • No drop-ins for the membership-only classes, we have separate Drop-in classes (see below) - this is to protect the concentrated work of the regular group and allow me to focus on events and courses more suited to those who can't attend regularly, including free events. But you can have a ‘try-out’ session…

  • 'Try-out' Session - you can try out a members-only class (4 maximum), to see if joining the group training membership is for you. Classes are £20 PAYG during the try-out period.

When

There are various classes from Monday to Saturday. Classes last from 1 to 2 hours depending on the day and season. Check out the full schedule on GoTeamup here

Where

We mainly train outside, more in the summer, a little less in the winter. Class locations change with the season but are currently mainly at Hampstead Heath and Shepherd’s Bush.
